The results of the 2017 RIDI candidate survey were announced at the RIDI conference today. RIDI, in conjunction with inclusive job board, Vercida, surveyed over 200 disabled jobseekers with a variety of physical and non-visible disabilities and long-term conditions.
The survey shows an improvement in the number of people who felt their condition had an impact when job-hunting (75% compared with 85% in the 2015 survey). The results also presented a number of examples of best practice and positive recruitment experiences. There are however still challenges that need to be addressed in the job-hunting process including the application stage which 53% of respondents found challenging.
