Want your organisation to be Disability Confident? RIDI can help you…
RIDI’s first annual conference ‘Creating Disability Confident Recruiters Through Collaboration’, takes place next Thursday.
Diversity and inclusion consultancy Delsion is a past winner of the RIDI Disability Confident award, and Managing Director Julian John will be presenting an award winning case study titled Positive about Potential at the conference.
Here, Julian talks about why becoming disability confident matters and how his company Delsion has benefited from getting involved with RIDI.
“As a disabled entrepreneur in HR and L&D, the fact that my company Delsion is disability confident underlines that we mean what we say: that talent matters and that we are taking this issue seriously.
Disability confident stands for greater inclusion and shows the benefits that exist not only to disabled individuals but also to the businesses that employ in an inclusive way.
I have first-hand experience of the barriers disabled job seekers can face. Entering the RIDI awards and subsequently winning had a huge positive impact for me and my business.
This includes being recognised for our work but also establishing a fantastic partnership with RIDI and its members.
We are absolutely thrilled to support RIDI in its work to put disability in recruitment on to the map in order to push towards greater inclusion.
For us, the conference will be an opportunity to share best practice and look at areas that can be further improved.
We very much look forward to contributing to the discussion.”
Julian John, Managing Director, Delsion.
